Long time no see!

It has been a while since my last entry! I haven't forgotten this site, I have updated the layout several times and rewritten some content. I just haven't done any new blog entries. But I guess now is a good time for one! I just finished my new layout. It focuses on readability and simplicity. A lot has happened since the last blog entry. I have learned php and started my very own server. Read more from the Server section! Anyways, I will continue working on the layout + content. See you all soon!

I messed a bit with the menu, and it ended up looking a bit hmm... messy. It is now coded with javascript and css. It's a mix between a banner rotator and a normal menu. It seems to work on the most recent browsers. If your browser doesn't have javascript or it is turned off, the menu wont display correctly. That counts as a huge compatibility problem. I guess it is the price you have to pay for ultimate coolness. I fixed those banners up in no time, so they look awful. The next thing on the to-do list is to revamp those banners, and maybe make a brand new background to the content div. I have an awsome idea in my mind. I guess the time of this layout isn't over yet...

...and the lack of it. I wish I had deadlines when it comes to my personal website projects. As I don't have deadlines, I usually spend way too much time aimlessly wandering around the internet. I have just recently finished this layout, and I am working on a new one. There is a lot to do, but it seems like the project is not going forward tonight. I could blame the lack of inspiration, but it's not the real reason. It seems like always when I am just about to start actually doing something, something else gets on the way. I also find myself spending way too much time on simple tasks, just because I start to think about the amount of work I have. I am not stressed by the amount of work, I am just...overwhelmed. I'm off to search for that inspiration for a new layout!

Okay now I have written all content, and updated all links. I think this is it then. The site is finally as ready as it will ever be. It is actually my first fully functional html website. It has been over six months since I had a working website. Feeling awsome now. I started thinking about studying php, so I preserved a little spot for a contact form in the contact -section. It also works as a reminder for me. I also validated virtuoosi.org! Validating means that the makers of www (aka w3) have approved your html/css markup of your web document. Virtuoosi.org passes the tests, so I got those nice small icons to the bottom of my pages. They prove my e-worthiness.

This is the first blog entry ever. I decided to go with a basic blog which is updated by modifying the source of the webpage. I know, it is not very user friendly, but as I am the only user thats fine. I would use a .php blog if I only knew something about php. I guess that will be my next project. Anyways, I am almost done with the contents of this page. I am very happy about that. Now I can just sit back and fool around with the stylesheet, design new layouts etc.. I guess I will start making a new layout when this one is ready. I will make a backup of this blog & all the text on this site, and use it on the new site. Now I dont have to worry about the contents anymore, yay!
